Festival of Medieval Culture «Rubon» (August 30 - September 1, 2019)

In August, 30 - September 1, 2019 in the most ancient city of Belarus - Polotsk will be held once again the holiday of medieval culture «Rubon». All guests of the festival will have a unique opportunity to travel back to the Middle Ages, to witness the medieval battle, courage and bravery of knights, agility and skill of archers.

No Belarusian city can boast such a rich history as Polotsk. Therefore, it is here, in the center of the birth of spirituality and culture, the organizers of the festival decided to show all guests our legendary past in order to awaken in people's souls pride, respect and love for their homeland, heritage and ancestors.

The festival program includes performances of historical reconstruction clubs, theatrical shows, a concert of medieval music, dance workshops, contests, horseback riding. Artisans - blacksmiths, potters, gunsmiths, weavers, jewelers will present their skills, and their products will be available at the fair. Viewers can taste the dishes of the medieval cuisine and learn how to bake bread in a clay oven.
