Belarusian mythology festival «U gostsi da Lepelskaga Tsmoka» (August 17, 2019)

On August 17, 2019, the festival of Belarusian mythology «U gostsi da Lepelskaga Tsmoka» will take place in Lepel. Lepelsky Tsmok is a famous mythological creature described by the Belarusian writer V. Korotkevich in his works. In the books of V. Korotkevich, Tsmok lived in Lake Lepel. Thanks to the efforts of local enthusiasts a few years ago, Lepelsky Tsmok became a regional tourist brand, and in honor of the mythological hero, a monument was erected on the lake shore in Lepel.

In 2019, the festival «U gostsi da Lepelskaga Tsmoka» will be held for the sixth time, during which performances of Belarusian-speaking creative teams of the Republic of Belarus of various genres will be held, which will represent the country's national culture. Exhibitions of folk art, workshops on traditional crafts and trade fairs will be organized.
